Reference: 153853

Location: London

Salary: Up To £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our client is a medium sized PE backed consumer facing business doing well, despite the current issues.

They now need, for the first time,  an experienced Group Financial Controller, to manage all the day to day finances, statutory and management reporting as well as treasury and cash-flow and external relationships including Banks, stakeholders, the Audit and compliance.

Managing a team of 9, the role requires a hands on Controller, who is as competent with the detail as they are with the long term and strategic. You must be a competent man manager, capable of explaining finance to the non financial whilst being up to date with the technical accounting issues facing the business. This role reports to the Group Finance Director and is a genuine No2 in the Finance function.

The ideal candidate will have significant post qualification experience within a consumer facing business, having gained a Professional Accountancy Qualification, probably in practice or a large well structured consumer business. Key requirements will include;

  • Expert understanding and knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
  • A warm friendly team player, able to work across all areas of the business
  • Highly technically minded and high attention to detail
  • Strong commercial acumen and confident in making business decisions

This is a great opportunity for a commercially focussed, technically strong finance professional to join a growing brand leader playing a fundamental part in its finance function.
